Met decades of experience in the eyewear world, the people behind BrilOnline were convinced that the orientation process to a new pair of glasses takes place primarily online. Can we develop a digital platform where consumers know which glasses they are interested in even before they visit an optician? And can we use our service in such a way that affiliated opticians are aware of a potential customer and can thus increase the chances of a sale?
In brief
- Spectaclesonline.com is a digital fitting room with a choice of hundreds of different frames from top brands such as Guess, Marc O’Polo and Vingino.
- You can easily upload a photo of yourself to instantly see if a frame fits your face or not.
- Based on Artificial Intelligence (face recognition), the frame is immediately optimally placed on the face of the uploaded photo or selected model.
- The digital fitting room is now offered by BrilOnline as a separate module to 200+ modern eyewear stores.

A realistic image of the frame on your face
The digital fitting room. A smart move at a time when leisure time is scarce and shopping visits are declining. But also a great challenge to create an intuitive environment that works smoothly and why you get a realistic picture of the frame in combination with your own face. If you fail to do so, you immediately create a negative attitude of the visitor towards your product and your relevance within

in full.
With extreme precision in its development and the help of Artificial Intelligence, the module does not scare, but provides a reliable picture of the glasses that fit you.
An intuitive fitting experience through face recognition
That digital fitting room was developed as an application and then carefully converted to a widget. A widget is a stand-alone tool to which you can apply various filters that are then processed and visible in real time. Within the widget is face recognition (AI) applied to ensure that the glasses are always placed in the correct position on the face. Face recognition uses landmarks such as your eyes, forehead and nose to optimally place the glasses on your face.

The BrilOnline tool at 200+ opticians in the Netherlands
A strong piece of development that did not go unnoticed. Because because the realized widget can be put on an external website through code, the tool is now used on the website of more than 200 opticians in the Netherlands.
In addition, it provides GlassesOnline with a nice amount of direct sales and forwarded reservations to affiliated opticians.
